The security man makes sure you wear long trousers (and possibly shirt). I had shirt with short sleeves and shorts, I lost my long trousers on my way. He didn’t let me in. He simply said I must buy trousers and that it’s not him that it’s the consul and that the rules are written inside and of course he didn’t want to show me the rules.
I ended up going to marché central, a pair of cotton trousers 3000cfa, no negotiation.
Visa costs 75,000cfa if issues the same day – it took 30mins. The visa woman asks for one photo, hotel booking and photocopy of passport, Cameroon visa and vaccination card. She can make the photocopy herself, 100cfa per page. She did ask what I want to see in Gabon. I said Lambaréné. She took a photo of me and fingerprints. She printed the visa. I was out.
